Jabari Tirik Jerkins

Jabari Jerkins, 42, of Mebane, went home to be with the Lord on February 21, 2024 at the UNC Hospice House in Pittsboro.  Jabari was an avid Tarheel fan.  He graduated from UNC Chapel Hill where he joined Psi Sigma Phi Multicultural Fraternity, Inc.  He loved hiking and being outdoors.  Jabari was a software engineer with NCSECU.  Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Akehia Jerkins; daughters, Alana and Alexa of the home; daughter, Tamiyah Hutchins; his parents, Fitzroy and Anna Jerkins; sister, Tammy Croom (Berlie); brother, Fitztroy Jerkins (Nikki);grandmothers, Swannie Waters and Verna Smith and a host of extended family and friends.  A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Sunday February 25, 2024 at Crosslink Community Church in Mebane.
