Jacqueline "Jackie" Barrett Davis

GRAHAM - Jacqueline "Jackie" Barrett Davis, of 7461 NC 87 South, passed away at her home Friday, October 17, 2014.She was the daughter of Curtis Barrett and Pearl Baker Barrett, both deceased, and stepdaughter of Wilma Barrett of Graham. Jackie, who was born in Gaston County, was a member Moore's Chapel Baptist Church, worked for several years at Sellars Manufacturing and B. Everette Jordan Elementary School, from which she retired.Jackie is survived by her husband, Donald Monroe Davis, of the home; daughters, Cynthia Ann Shropshire (James) and Sarah Teresa Dalton (Bobby), all of Graham; son, Curtis Fletcher Davis (Deborah) of Graham; brothers, Howard Barrett (Frances) and Darrell Barrett (Marie), all of Graham; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Lynn Davis; grandson, Tony Shropshire; and sister, Cornie Honeycutt.Visitation will be from 2 until 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014, at Moore's Chapel Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Kevin Barber and the Rev. Carson Wiggins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
