James Albert Blalock

James Albert Blalock, 95, of Mebane passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026. He was a native of Orange County, retired from White Furniture with 36 years of service, a farmer and a member of Eastside Baptist Church. He is the son of the late James David and Emma McCulloch Blalock. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 74 years Louise Blalock who passed away on June 26, 2025. He was also preceded in death by his son, Harold Blalock; brother, Ervin Blalock; sisters, Louise Porterfield, Joyce Loftis, Christine Porterfield and Maddie Whitfield.

He is survived by daughters, Lisa Moore and husband David of Cedar Grove, Ann Phillippie and husband Mark of Graham; sisters, Shirley Yarborough and Blanch Barnwell; grandchildren, Amber Moore, Candice Harrod and husband John, Kevin Phillippe, Franklin Moore and wife Emily; great grandchildren, Harper Moore, Sadie Moore Addison Moore and Kathryn Harrod,

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday February 3, 2026 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane by Pastor Chris Hill. Burial will follow in Oakwood cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 – 11:00 prior to the service.
