James Lewis Flynn

James Lewis Flynn, 71, of Efland went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving wife, kids and family. He was a native of Orange County, Retired from Fitch Creations and was owner/operator of James L. Flynn Plumbing, a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and a US Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents’ Clifton and Etta Cates Flynn; sister, Mary Flynn; brothers, Robert & George Flynn. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Flynn of the home; children, Eric Flynn of Efland, Kimberly Mathis and husband Quinton Burchard of Efland, Crystal Flynn Poole and Husband Mark Poole of Mebane and Christopher Flynn of the home; grandchildren, Jeremy Jones of Efland, Jacob Jones of Hillsborough, Alana Flynn Poole of Mebane and Stephanie Flynn of Burlington; 6 great grandchildren, sister, Nancy Flynn Tate and husband Tom Tate. A service to celebrate his life will be held 4:00 PM Sunday at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane by Harold Sykes, Jr. & Wayne Kirkman. Burial with military honors will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5:00 – 7:00 Saturday evening, other times at the residence.
