James Hurd

James Frederick “Jim” Hurd, 78, of Graham died Monday, May 14, 2018 at his residence. He was a native of Chemung, NY, former owner of Jim’s Home Repair, He was an avid motorcycle rider and a member of the Crystal City Riders in NY and loved to travel and visit Pigeon Forge, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur & Winnifred Youmans Hurd; son, Max M. Clark, Jr.; grandson, Joshua R. Matt; sister; Dorothy Ponce & baby sister Mary Catherine Hurd; step mother, Maxine Jones and sister in law, Judy Hunt.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine E. Cross Hurd of the home; children, Connie L. Lazenby(William) of PA, Robin Sykora(Paul) of NY, Shery Davis(Wesley) of VA, James Hurd(TammyJo) of NC, Mary Long of NC, and John Hurd(Mary Fanelli)NC; Grandchildren, William Lazenby, Miranda Lazenby, Tammy Jo & Branden Hays, Rebecca and Steven Wilson, Samantha Hurd, James Hurd, Jr., Elizabeth Hurd, Matthew Long, Justin Hurd, Corey Sykora, Stephen Davis, Shawn Matt; brother, James Peters of TN and nephew Jeffrey Peters of TN

A service to celebrate his life will be held 11:00 AM Friday at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham by Pastor Larry Lamberth. Burial will follow in Graham Memorial Park.
