James Alan Liddle Sr.

Mr. James Alan Liddle Sr. of Swepsonville, NC passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Alamance Regional Medical Center. Mr. Liddle was the son of John David Liddle and Martha Ann Elswick Liddle, both deceased. Mr. Liddle retired from Ametek as the Vice President of manufacturing James will be remembered as a man of upstanding character. He always made sure to put in a hard day’s work to see that his loved ones were taken care of. Mr. Liddle was an avid sports fan, an animal lover, he enjoyed traveling, and knew how to have a good time when he was off the clock. Mr. Liddle had a place in his heart for many things, but none surpassed the love he had in his heart for his family.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Liddle was preceded in death by his wife Jessie Mae Liddle and his grandson, Joshua Stephen Loy.

James is survived by his children, Deborah Liddle Loy (Barry), James Alan Liddle, Jr., and Anne Smith (Mike), his grandchildren Jessie Elaine Malloy (Hunter), Christine Nicole Liddle, James A. Liddle III, Maggie Liddle, Mike Alan Smith, and Kasey Smith, and step-grandchildren, Laura Smith and Emma Grace Smith.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2021, beginning at 2:00PM, at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham. A visitation will be held for the family to receive friends an hour prior the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Hospice Home of Alamance-Caswell in honor of Mr. Liddle.
