James William Martin, Jr.

Mr. James William Martin, Jr. , 65, of Haw River, died July 8, 2016 at UNC Hospital In Hillsborough. He was born November 19, 1950 in Danville, VA, the son of James W. (Sr) and Kathleen Lowery Martin. Mr. Martin was retired spray finisher, having worked in both the casket and furniture industries. Survivors include his wife, Polly; daughters, Robin Martin of the home, Nancy Nichols (William) of Graham; brothers, Bobby of Florida, Jeff of Haw River, Danny of Swepsonville and Jerry of Burlington; sisters, Peggy Walker of Snow Camp, Judy Hamadou of Greensboro; and his granddoggies. Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Roy, Richard and Doug. The service to celebrate Mr. Martin’s life will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane with Pastor James Christopher presiding. Interment will follow in Hebron United Methodist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday from 6 – 8 PM.
