James "Timmy" Timothy Neal

Mr. James Timothy “Timmy” Neal, 66, of Burlington, NC, passed away on Friday January 29, 2016 at UNC Hospitals Chapel Hill. A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late James Albert and Phyllis Boley Neal. He retired from The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill with 30 years of service which made him a big UNC Tar Heel fan. He was an avid outdoorsman and his love was fishing. He was a proud member of the Thomas M. Holt Masonic Lodge #492 and the Amran Shriners of Burlington. Survivors include his wife Dianna Apple Neal; children, Jenni (Chris) Stackhouse, Daniel (Sabrina) Apple, Chris Turner, and Jackie (Karen) Turner; 4 grandchildren; sister, Mary Ellen Chadwick; brother, Jeff (Sharon) Neal; special cousin, Vickie Neal Saunders and family friend, Lisa Apple. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Todd Turner. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday January 31, 2016 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Durham officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham and other times at 3949 South 62 HWY. Burlington, NC.
