James "Jamie" Wilson

Jamie Wilson, 47, passed away on January 8, 2017 at ARMC. He was a member of Historic Providence Christian Church where he served as a Deacon and Trustee and a member of the church choir. He graduated from Graham High School and UNCW with a BS Degree in Elementary Education. Jamie taught school in the Hickory School System and at Clover Garden School. He was the business manager of Pat’s Flowers in Gibsonville, which is owned by his mother. Survivors include his parents, Douglas E. Wilson and Carol P. Wilson, brother; Kelly Wilson (Dana), niece; Sydney Wilson, nephews; Gabriel Wilson, Blake Throneburg, Chaz Wilson, his partner; Scott Stedding and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers; Geneva Fitch and Genia Wilson, grandfathers; Andrew Parks and David Wilson and his step grandfather Carl Fitch. A funeral service will be held at 2:30pm on Saturday January 14, 2017 at McClure Funeral and Cremation Service in Graham. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:30 on Saturday at the funeral home. At other times they will be at his parent’s residence. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Critical Care Unit at ARMC for all their care and compassion shown to Jamie.
