Janice Kearns Fogleman

Janice Kearns Fogleman, 77, of Graham, NC a beacon of love and selflessness, passed away on December 18, 2025, at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. Born on October 13, 1948, Janice's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the strength of family bonds. Janice's journey began as the cherished daughter of Archie Kearns and Clatie Gatlin Lawson. Her warm spirit and nurturing nature were evident from an early age. As she grew, so did her circle of love, which came to include her devoted husband of 46 years, Dan Fogleman, and children, Scott Cates and his wife Tracy, Lisa Cagle and her husband Clay and Walter "Lynn" Fogleman. Janice's joy was multiplied with the arrival of each grandchild and great-grandchild, whose lives she touched with her gentle wisdom and unconditional love. Her brothers, Gary Kearns and Freddie Gatlin, along with many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins, also held a special place in her heart. Janice's family was her pride and joy, and she cultivated a home filled with laughter, understanding, and support. She was preceded in death by her parents, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and familial devotion. Janice's professional life was marked by her tenure as a secretary at Huffman Oil Company. Her colleagues knew her as a reliable and caring presence, always willing to lend a hand or a listening ear. Her commitment to her faith was evident through her active involvement in the North Graham Baptist Church community, where she lived her Christian values every day. Those who knew Janice will remember her as a simple and easygoing woman who found joy in the happiness of others. She never sought recognition for her deeds, preferring to quietly ensure that those around her felt loved and cared for. Her hobbies were reflections of her generous spirit, as she relished in taking care of others and making the world a kinder place. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday December 27, 2025 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Pastor Randy Haynes officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the Funeral Home.
