Janice Carolyn Harkleroad

Janice Carolyn Harkleroad, 76, passed away at Cone Health on December 28, 2023 after declining health.

The daughter of the late Kenneth Poore and the late Mildred Bowers, she was married to her beloved husband, Walter Adrian Harkleroad II, for 52 years who proceeded her in death in 2018. She is survived by her only daughter, Christina Harkleroad Edwards and son in law, Christopher Edwards of Graham, NC. Her beloved grandsons who were her pride and joy, Brady Edwards and Ayden Edwards of Graham, NC. Blake Edwards and wife Hannah and great grandsons Hayes and Stetson of Randleman, NC. She is also survived by her nephew, John Williams and wife Sara and their sons Ty and Taj of Mount Pleasant, SC.

Janice retired from North Carolina State University where she was the accounting manager for Student Health. Prior to coming to NC State, she held the same position with Vanderbilt University.

As a very private person, the family is respecting her final wishes to have only graveside service. Service will be held Wednesday January 03, 2024 at Graham Memorial Park, beginning at 11:00am. McClure Funeral Home Graham will be handling the arrangements. Condolences can be made at the residence of her daughter and son-in-law, Chris and Chris Edwards.
