Janice Byers Lloyd, known affectionately as Janice to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025, in Alamance Co., North Carolina. Born on November 5, 1949, in Atlanta, Georgia, Janice's life was marked by her unwavering kindness, her dedication to her loved ones, and her passion for the world around her. Janice's early years in Atlanta laid the foundation for a life full of love and service. She grew up surrounded by the warmth of her family, including her parents, Elbert L. Byers and Ruby Wallace Pickard, who preceded her in death. Janice's journey continued alongside her devoted brothers, Ron Byers with his wife Lucy, and Leonard W. Byers with his wife Lil, who will miss her deeply. A proud mother, Janice's legacy lives on through her sons, Kevin Lloyd and Jerry L. Teer. Her joy was multiplied with the arrival of her grandchildren, Stephen and Rebecca, who brought immense happiness and purpose to her life. She was also preceded in death by her loving son, Jonathan B. Lloyd.

Janice's professional life was marked by a remarkable 30-year tenure at GKN, where she was not only a dedicated employee but also a friend to many.
