Janice Gray (Poe) O'Briant

Janice Gray Poe O’Briant, 85 , passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022. She was a native of Alamance County, retired from GKN and attended The Lamb’s Chapel. She formerly attended Mebane Wesleyan Church, loved to travel to Dollywood with her family, was a prayer warrior who loved helping other people and cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren who always put a smile on her face. She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Ethel Holt Poe; husband, Bennie O’Briant; sister, Clara Howard and brother Wallace Poe.

She is survived by her daughter, Andrea O. Stovall and husband Heath; son, Stephen O’Briant and wife Jeanette; grandchildren, Daniel Howell, Nicholas O’Briant and Savanna Stovall; step granddaughter, Marissa Parker; 3 great grandchildren with 2 on the way.

A service to celebrate her life will be 3:00 Sunday at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham by Pastor Brian Biggers. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Mebane. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 – 3:00 before the service. Memorials may be made to Amedisys Hospice, 2929 Crouse Lane, Burlington, NC 27215.
