Janice Oakley Wright

Mrs. Janice Oakley Wright, 75, of Mebane, NC passed away on Friday September 9, 2016 in Shelby, NC. She was the daughter of the late Clarence C. and Alma Hicks Oakley. Member of Lebanon United Methodist Church. She retired after many years of service from Mebane First Savings and Loan. She is survived by her son, William D. Wright and wife Karen, of Shelby, NC; daughter, Ellen Juhnke, of Georgia; Grandchildren, Thomas Wright, Richard Wright, Michael Wright, Kathryn Wright, Whitney Juhnke, Lauren Juhnke; brother, Dwight Oakley of Cedar Grove; sister in law, Mae W. Leo and husband Pete , of Emerald Isle and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby E. Wright; sister, Alma Letty Carr; brothers, Carlton Oakley, Lloyd Oakley, Donald Hue Oakley and Charlie ‘Mack” Oakley. The family would like to thank a family friend and caregiver, Shirley Edwards for her countless hours of care and kindness given to Janice. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday September 11, 2016 at the Lebanon United Methodist Church with the family receiving friends following the service in the Church Fellowship Hall.
