Jay James

Jay James, 78, passed away on July 2, 2017 at the Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell. He served in the U.S. Marines Corp. and was an avid outdoors man and golfer. He retired from Overman Building Supply and his family was the world to him especially his wife, Janice. Survivors include his daughters; Diane McGurl (Mike) of Sharpsburg, Ga., Karyn Burke (Brian) of Mebane, Jill Rbaihat (Abdel) of Raleigh, son; Richard James (Sherry) of Graham, sister, Lynn James Jobina of Burnsville, NC., 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Janice Ann Pender James and parents Joseph and Dorothy Huey James. The family will receive friends on Friday July 7, 2017 from 5-7 at McClure Funeral and Cremation Service in Mebane. A graveside service will be held on Saturday July 8, 2017 at 10:00am at Oakwood Cemetery in Mebane.
