Jean Coble Bowman

HAW RIVER - Jean Coble Bowman, 89, died Thursday, May 5, 2016, at her residence. She was a native of Alamance County, retired as a day care employee and was a member of Haw River United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hurley and Mable Reed Coble; and her husband, Herman Bowman. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Kay Harper and husband Frankie of the home; grandchildren, Frankie Harper Jr. and Trisha East of the home, Candace Harper and Robbie Terry of Mebane; great- grandchildren, Christian Harper, Sabasjin Harper, Destiny Harper, Landon Terry, Logan Terry and Maylee Terry; niece, Cathy Coble Martinez; nephews, Charles "Buster" Coble and Jerry Wayne Coble. A service to celebrate her life will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Haw River United Methodist Church by Pastor Jeanne R. Neal. Burial will follow in Haw River Cemetery. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 6 to 8 Saturday night and at other times at the residence.
