Jeanette Delano (Wilson) Oldham

Mrs. Jeanette Delano Wilson Oldham, 90 of Graham, NC, passed away on June 10, 2023, at Mebane Ridge Assisted Living. She is the daughter of the late Odie Wilson and Elizabeth Rogers “Betty” Wilson, of Orange Co. NC, and was a native of the Cedar Grove Community. Jeanette was a proud member of the YMCA, where she retired as a swim instructor. With her late husband serving in the Military, she worked with the Red Cross teaching swimming. She was a proud member of the NCO Wife’s club, the Red Hats, and she enjoyed collecting anything that had to do with frogs. She will forever be remembered for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. Survivors include her loving daughter, Sharon O. McAlister and husband Matthew; her sons, Gary Alan Oldham and wife Rena, Dalton Oldham, Kenneth Durand Oldham and wife Melinda and Kevin Oldham; his 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and her sister, Mary Ann Wilson Sykes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, M/SGT. Dalton Fairfax Oldham, Ret., her son, Richard Wilson Oldham; a granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Oldham; her sisters, Eileen Wilson Stowe and Dorothy James Hobby, and a brother, William Eugene “Billy” Wilson. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday June 28, 2023, at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Pastor Darryl Peebles officiating. The family will receive friends following the service on Wednesday.
