Jeanne Jefferies Holmes

Jeanne Jefferies Holmes passed away peacefully on November 1, 2024, at the age of 79. Born on March 12, 1945, to the late Arthur and Clarice Jefferies, Jeanne's life was a testament to her unwavering spirit and the love she shared with those around her.

Jeanne's legacy is carried on by her devoted husband, David “Fletcher” Holmes, with whom she built a life full of joy and companionship. Her children, David Holmes Jr. and his wife Donna and Christy Holmes, will forever cherish the lessons of kindness and resilience she instilled in them. Jeanne's memory will also be treasured by her numerous nieces and nephews, who saw her as a guiding light and a source of endless support.

Professionally, Jeanne retired as a respected Postmaster from the US Postal Service, where her commitment to community service was evident in every interaction.  A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 11am at Chestnut Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery.
