Jeffery Leroy Richardson

Mr. Jeffery Leroy Richardson 74, of Mebane, NC passed away on March 14, 2025, at his residence. A native of Newport News, VA, he was the son of the late John H. Richardson and Carmel Branson Richardson. Jeff retired from Fed-Ex as a Aircraft Mechanic with 20 years of service. He enjoyed nothing more than watching or going to a NASCAR race. He and his brother Jackie would go to races all around, but he would always find time to text his son Jeremy during the races to discuss what was happening. Jeff was a supporter of Hendrix Motorsports especially Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jeff will forever be remembered for being a kind and loving man who always put the needs of others above his own especially when it came to his friends and family. Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara Turner Richardson; his children, Joseph Richardson and wife Tara, Jeremy Richardson and wife Jessica, Melissa Richardson, and Joretta R. Pratt and husband George; his many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren, and numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Eleanore Overstreet, Marlene Catver, Geraldine Crin, and Delores Leedy and his brothers, Tommy Richardson, Jackie Richardson, Jimmy Richardson, and Joe Richardson (His Twin). It was Jeff’s wishes for there not to be any services held at this time. McClure Funeral Service in Mebane is honored to serve the family.
