Mebane

Jeffrey Lynn Roten, 52, went home to be with the Lord on July 11, 2025. He was a native of Alamance County, born on January 18, 1973, to Russell and Sally Roten. A devoted husband, loving father, and adoring Paw Paw, Jeffrey was a beacon of light to everyone who had the blessing of knowing him. Jeffrey attended Eastern Alamance High School and was pursuing his associate’s degree in HVAC at Alamance Community College, where he proudly made the Dean’s List. He dedicated 27 years of service to Hydro in Burlington before beginning a new chapter at Burlington Industries. A man of many talents and passions, Jeffrey was an avid fisherman, hunter, and softball player. Above all, he was a man of deep faith. A faithful member of Faith Baptist Church, Jeffrey was saved and baptized there and dedicated much of his life to serving the Lord. Whether working security, singing in the choir, ushering, greeting, or simply lending a helping hand, he gave wholeheartedly and joyfully. His commitment to others and his unwavering faith made a lasting impact on his church and community. Jeffrey’s generous heart, quick smile, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, faith, and service lives on in the lives he touched.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Sally Bare Roten and his brother, Mark Roten.

Jeffrey is survived by his wife and childhood sweetheart, Kelly Cooper Roten; his father, Russell Roten; his children, Stephanie Roten of the home, Ashton Lambert of the home, Charles Cehen,  and Michael Allison (Stormi) of VA; his grandchildren, Bentley Hamm, Stephen Wood, Isaac Wood, Winter Allison, and Violet Allison; his siblings, Michael Roten (Bobbie Jean) of Snow Camp, Jodi Roten (Jeff), and Gregory Roten (Patricia); and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held to honor his life on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Faith Baptist Church by Pastor Keith Spake beginning at 12:00pm. The family will receive friends from 10:00am-12:00pm prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jeffrey's name to the Faith Baptist Church Mission's or Building Fund: P.O. Box 352 Efland, NC 27243
