Jeffrey Wayne Young

Mr. Jeffrey Wayne Young, 69, of Graham, NC passed away on January 10, 2025, at UNC Hospitals, Hillsborough. A native of Alamance Co. NC, he was the son of the late Howard Wayne Young and Doris Beal Young. Jeff was an avid outdoorsman, always loving the opportunity to go hunting or fishing. He also enjoyed tinkering with cars and watching racing. Jeff was a man who was known for his generosity and kindheartedness and had never met a Stanger, but he will forever be remembered as a man who always put the needs of others above his own. Survivors include the love of his life and wife of 46 years, Gail Putnam Young; his sister, Bonnie Minnich, and his loving nieces and nephews, John Wayne Strickland, Christy Strickland, Cynthia Inman and Amy Horner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joy Horner. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday January 16, 2025, at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Pastor Paul Mann officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Cliff UMC Cemetery in Graham. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
