Jerry Darrell Young

Mr. Jerry Darrell Young, 78 of Burlington, NC passed away on Saturday March 7, 2020 at the Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington. A native of Alamance Co. NC, he was the son of the late Howard M. and Myrtle Sue Lawrence Young. He was known for being a loving husband, father, brother, and he especially loved being a grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Thomas Kimrey Young; his children, Gloria Black and husband Scott, Phillip Young, Greg Young and wife Jodie, Travis Kimrey and wife Tonya, and Stacey Coleman and husband Jay; his loving grandchildren, Brandon, Tyler, Cullen, Cassidy, Thomas, Rodney, Jordan, Trey, Ty, John, Katie, and Ira; 10 great grandchildren and his brother, Larry “Butch” Young and wife Irene. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Young. Private family services will be held at a later date.
