Jessie "Jack" Earl Parham, III, age 75 of Graham, NC, passed away the morning of Sunday, March 9, 2025. He was born May 23, 1949 in Roxboro, NC.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Rachel Parham; his loving wife and best friend of 31 years, Carla Parham; and sister Ann Barton.
He is survived by his son, Shane Parham (wife Laura); his daughter Carly Daniel Phinn (husband Andy); and grandchildren Abby Phinn, Sam Phinn, Audrey Parham and Will Parham.
Those who knew Jack will remember him for his infectious smile and sweet laughter, his deep-rooted faith, and his unwavering commitment to spreading love and kindness to everyone he encountered. He had a rare gift for making others smile and laugh, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed his path. His family often joked that he was the "Mayor of everywhere he went" because he always knew someone wherever he went and would always stop to talk and make time for them. He was often referred to as a "gentle giant" or a "sweet teddy bear of a man".
He spent his career in restaurant management. For many years, he found great joy in umpiring or refereeing ball both for his kids' sports teams and for community teams. When he could no longer continue that, he went on to be the biggest fan on the sidelines for his kids and grandkids. He always considered his family his greatest accomplishment and his favorite titles in this life were "husband", "Dad/Daddy" and "Granddaddy/Grandpa".
A Celebration of Life will be held at McClure Funeral Home in Graham on Saturday, March 15th at 2pm. A visitation will immediately follow at the funeral home, and family will welcome friends and loved ones at their home afterward. The family would like to request for people to wear "Duke Blue" in honor of Dad and his DEEP LOVE for all things Duke Blue Devils.
