Joan Scannell "Patsy" Szczepkowski

GRAHAM - Joan Scannell "Patsy" Szczepkowski, 69, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015, at her residence. Joan attended Mission Hill High School, Massachusetts Bay Community College and Boston State Teachers College. She taught first grade in Boston. Joan moved to Seattle, Wash. in 1972 as a newlywed. She worked there for three years and hiked in Washington State, Oregon and throughout western Canada. Joan accompanied her husband, Sig, back to Boston in 1974. Daughter Kim was born in 1977. The family hiked in New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Maine. Daughter Kim is an airline pilot. Joan taught English to foreign students for many years. She has four brothers and many friends.
