Joan Carolyn Profitt

Joan Carolyn Profitt, 72, passed away on February 21, 2024, at the Authoracare Hospice Home in Burlington.  She was the daughter of the late Paul and Bessie Mae Bass.  Those left to cherish her memories are her children; Barbara Ashcraft and Rodney, Harold Lee Profitt, Jr. and his longtime companion Wendy Rigney, and Angela Lynn Profitt and her longtime companion Lynn Roberts. Grandchildren, Courtney Knox and husband Brandon, Cory, Emily, Christian and wife Bailey, and Faith. Two Great Grandchildren, Grayson and Marleigh Knox and her sister Patricia Fisher and husband Howard.  Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Profitt, Sr.; brothers, William, Ronald and Lester Bass.  A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Monday February 26, 2024 in the McClure Funeral Chapel in Graham.  The family will receive friends from 12pm-1pm on Monday prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Towe Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Authoracare Collective Hospice 914 Chapel Hill Rd.
