Mrs. Joan Smith Southern

Mrs. Wanda Joan Smith Southern, 69, of 2453 Rogers Court, Graham, NC died 1:42pm Thursday December 10, 2015 at the Cone Health/Alamance Regional Medical Center of Burlington. She was born in Alamance County, was retired from Smithfield Inc., Elon, NC and a member of Hope Baptist Church. Surviving is her husband Jackie Thomas Southern, sons Rodney Wilson and Todd Wilson, Step daughter Angel White and husband Chris, Step Son Chris Southern and wife Teressa, grandchildren Kinsley Southern and Brianna White, sisters Patricia “Pat” Smith Sutton and husband Clyde, Bonnie Smith Rivers, Elaine Smith Mills and husband Dickie and Janice Smith Harris. Joan was preceded in death by her parents George Dallas Smith and Margaret Smith Gilbert, a sister Cathy Smith and brother Gary Lee Smith. The family will receive friends at the McClure Funeral and Cremation Service on Sunday, December 13, 2015 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. A funeral Service will be held 2:00pm Monday, December 14, 2015 in the McClure Chapel officiated by Pastor Tommy Bright and Pastor Frederick Bunts with burial to follow in the Graham Memorial Park.
