Joann Glancy

JoAnn Glancy of Graham, NC passed away at home on Monday, June 10, 2025, at the age of 85. She was a native of Chicago, Illinois where she graduated from Lindblom Technical High School. Beginning in high school, she worked as a receptionist and statistical typist at Harris Trust and Savings Bank in Chicago and later worked alongside her husband for many years as they ran a Golden Corral in Burlington, NC. In more recent years, she worked as a vendor for various companies in many grocery stores around North Carolina.   She is the wife of the late Robert “Bob” Glancy, and the daughter of the late Anna Bednar Diliberti and Joseph A Specogni. She was preceded in death by stepfather August “Gus” Diliberti, half-brother Joseph P. Specogni, stepson Bryan Glancy, and step-grandson Bryan Glancy.  JoAnn is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Natalie Glancy, stepdaughters Dawn (Glancy) Van Rafelghem and husband Marc, Becky Glancy, grandchildren Ava Glancy, Adrianna Glancy, Christian Van Rafelghem, Juliana Frazier, Madeline Severence, Samuel Brown, Brittany Glancy, and Jasmine Glancy, and her dog Jody. JoAnn was very social and was involved in the Alamance County Newcomers Club, attended Beacon Baptist Church, and enjoyed outings with her friends and family. She was an exceptionally loving neighbor and friend to both humans and animals.  A private graveside service will be held.
