Joann Yancey Hopkins

JoAnn Yancey Hopkins, 81, of Burlington passed away Friday, August 3, 2018 at the Hospice Home of Burlington. JoAnn was born in Alamance County. She was a retired seamstress with Peaches and Cream and was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church. She is survived by her children, Pam Clemmons (Buddy) of Burlington. Brenda Smith (Scott) of Gastonia. Rev. David Hopkins (Deborah) of Mebane and Jimmy Hopkins (Trinity) of Mebane. There are eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Brothers, Edwin Yancey (Betty) of Greenville, NC and Winfred Yancey (Syble) of Graham. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 3:00 PM in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane. Officiating will be Rev. David Hopkins and Rev. Nathan Rice. The burial will follow in Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Tuesday prior to the service.
