MEBANE - Ms. Joanne Darnell, 78, passed away, Thursday Sept. 5, 2013, at Duke University Medical Center. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, 3624 Saxapahaw Road, Mebane, NC 27302. Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
