Joe Carroll Perry

Joe Carroll Perry, a cherished family man, respected community member, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on June 9, 1936, Joe's life was a testament to the power of love, hard work, and dedication to one's family and friends. Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Marie Scarlett Perry, who was his partner in every aspect of life. Together, they built a legacy of love that will continue to flourish through their children, Eddie Perry and his wife Evangeline of Mebane, NC, and daughter Carol Pakala and her husband Lyle of Cedar Falls, IA. Joe's joy was multiplied by his adoring grandchildren, Angela Perry (Chris), Nathan Perry (Jessica), Ashley Perry (Gregory Baker), Ehrich Pakala (Alyx), Laura Korodan (Abe), Rebekah McCormick (Darrell), Elizabeth Hallam (Trevor), Melissa Tobler (John), Elliott Pakala, Margaret Thrall (Timothy), Daniel Pakala (Esther) and 24 great grandchildren. Joe also leaves behind his brother, Wiley "Boyce" Perry, and brother-in-law, Gerald Marin, who will fondly remember the many years of camaraderie and support. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley and Alpha Perry, his brother, Dale Perry and his wife Rebecca, and his sister, Kay Marin. Each family member played a significant role in Joe's life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

A funeral service will be held at 3pm on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Mebane. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 2pm-3pm. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.
