Joe Yusiewicz

Joseph Edward Yusiewicz January 7, 1930 – January 5, 2017 Joseph Edward Yusiewicz, 86, entered into eternal life on Thursday January 5, 2017 at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro NC. Born in Somerville NJ to his late parents Peter and Bertha (Stasiek) Yusiewicz, he had been a resident of Bound Brook NJ for most of his life. He was pre-deceased by his wife Doreen and daughter Debra. He was also pre-deceased by his six siblings; Nell, Stanley, Mary, Frank, Benjamin and Victoria. He was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force in 1955 after serving as a communication technician in the US, Newfoundland Canada and Libya Africa. Joe met his wife, Doreen Richards, while serving in Newfoundland. They were married for 55 years. Joe was a graduate of RCA Institute in NY and was employed by American Cyanamid, Raritan Arsenal and Midland-Ross. Joe was a devoted parishioner of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Bound Brook serving in various capacities including Senior Warden. He was a member of the Republican club and worked diligently as a poll worker for many years. He also volunteered his time on several municipal committees. He leaves behind his son Jeffrey and daughter-in-law Kathleen of Mebane NC, and five grandchildren; Carly and husband Greg Sronce of Durham NC, Brett of Dubai UAE, Derek of Mebane NC, Erin Roche of Jackson NJ and Ryan Roche of Toms River NJ. A memorial service for Joe will be held on Friday, January 20, at 3:00 PM at the Mebane United Methodist Church, 200 S 4th Street, Mebane NC. A memorial service and interment will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Memorial Garden, 214 Church Street, in Bound Brook NJ in April. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St Paul’s in honor of Joe.
