John Carl Carver

PROSPECT HILL - Mr. John “Carl” Carver, 66, of Prospect Hill, went home to be with the Lord on January 12, 2022. A native Prospect Hill, NC he was the son of the late John T. Carver and Sherby Willis Carver Mahaley. Carl retired from the City of Durham. Carl was an amazing father, grandfather and caretaker. He had a love for the great outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fi shing. He also enjoyed spending his weekends at race tracks near and far. There wasn’t a time that you visited him that you didn’t hear his radio playing in the shop. Over the last few years he spent most of his time caring for his loved ones and others in the community. Survivors include his daughter, April Carver Boggs (Jason); granddaughter, Abby Carver (who was the light of his life); grandsons, Hunter and Noah Boggs of Graham and his cat which he adored, Booger. He is also survived by one brother and two nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11am in the McClure Funeral Chapel in Mebane on Saturday January 15, 2022. The family will receive friends from 10-11 Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will follow in Cooper Cemetery in Prospect Hill, NC.
