GRAHAM - Mr. John Richard Gentry Jr., age 80, of Graham, NC died at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville, NC. He was born in Alleghany County, was preceded in death by his parents John Richard Gentry Sr. and Nell Bryan Gentry, his wife Carol Sue Lee Gentry and son in law John Watkins. He was a member of the Northside Presbyterian Church of Burlington, a retired truck driver beginning with Associate Transport and a member of the Local 391 Teamster Union.Surviving family members are a daughter Michele Watkins of Raeford, NC, sons John Richard Gentry III and wife Gerri of Charlotte, Eddie Gentry and wife Cyrena Kay of Haw River, Andrew Gentry and wife Melissa of Graham, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the McClure Funeral and Cremation Service 1030 S. Main Street, Graham, NC 27253 on Tuesday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. Funeral Services will be held 1:00pm Wednesday, February 25, 2015 in the McClure Chapel, burial to follow in the Graham Memorial Park.
