John Lynch Hamby

Mr. John Lynch Hamby, 74, of Burlington, NC passed away at the Hospice Home on Saturday, July 10, 2021. A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late Lynch Hocutt Hamby and Juanita Proffitt Hamby. John loved the Lord and had attended the First Baptist Church in Mebane when he was able. Mr. Hamby retired from White’s Furniture Company in Mebane. John can be remembered as a sweet person and a man of strong faith.

Survivors include his brother, David Lee Hamby and his wife, Nancy.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with Pastor Ross Carter officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1pm until service time on Wednesday at McClure in Graham.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made out to the Hospice Home of Alamance-Caswell or the Front Street United Methodist Church Music Fund.
