John Kenneth Thompson

Mr. John Kenneth Thompson, 57, of Burlington, NC passed away on Tuesday July 21, 2020 at Alamance Heath Care Center in Burlington. A native of Alamance County, NC he was the son of the late John Harley and Mae Belle Staton Thompson. John was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan but pulled for the Carolina Panthers as long as they weren’t playing the Cowboys. He enjoyed the water, whether he was swimming or just relaxing by the pool. John was currently employed with NOVA Health in Mebane and he loved his work family. He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughter, Casey Thompson; his step children, Karen Warren and Shannon Smith; his loving sisters, Vera C. Ray and husband Ricky and Jada Thompson and his loving grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Graves Thompson and a son, Michael Thompson. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday July 25, 2020 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Pastor Robbie Glosson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the residence of his sister, Vera Ray.
