John Kenneth Kimball

Our man, John Kenneth Kimball, 79, of Durham passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025. He is the son of the late William Watson and Mary Louise Kimball of Cole Mill Road, Durham. He was also preceded in death by a son, Alex Kimball and brother Terry Kimball.

Kenneth was a graduate of Northern High School and the Technical College of Alamance. He retired from IBM after 25 years of service, becoming a heating and air technician soon afterward. He also Served as a member of the National Guard.

If there was water, Kenneth would fish. He loved taking his kids fishing and on beach and mountain trips. He was a family man, always putting family first. He was handy at carpentry and could find a way to fix most anything. He had a dry sense of humor that would always make you think.

Left to always remember and love him are his wife of 42 years, Phyllis; son, Chris and granddaughter, Kylee Kimball; brothers Gilfred and Anita Kimball, Ricky and Teri Kimball; sister in law, Jamie and Rob Brady.

A graveside service to Celebrate Kenneth’s life will be held 1:00 PM Monday, November 24, 2025 at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Mebane by Pastor Darrell Moser.
