John Kimrey

John Nereus Kimrey, 19, of Burlington, NC, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. John was a fun-loving young man who was an avid outdoorsman. He was a great hunter and an excellent marksman. He also loved fishing. He loved motorcycles, trucks and playing in the mud. Before his seventh birthday he could drive every piece of farm equipment in sight. He defnitely lived his life to the fullest. John was a very social young man who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a bonus son to all his friend's moms. John was always a phone call away if anyone needed his help. He never left a room without telling his family he loved them. John will be deeply missed by so many, including his work family at ULCS in Graham, NC where he worked as a lineman.John is survived by his mother, Tonya Kimrey, his father, Travis Kimrey, and grandmothers Peggy Young and Betty Lanier. He is survived by a sister, Jordan Kimrey Tygart and brothers Trey (Natalie) and Ty (Caitlyn) Kimrey. John is survived by six nieces and nephews. Wyatt Tygart, Bailey Tygart, Peyton Tygart, Kemp Kimrey, AvayaHope Kimrey and Lacey Kimrey. He will be deeply missed by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves behind his loving girlfriend, Bree Garner. John was pre-deceased by his grandfathers, Richard Kimrey and Jerry Young and an aunt, Ann Kimrey Gilliam.Visitation will be Monday, July 1st, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at McClure Funeral Service in Graham, NC. Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 2nd, at 11:00 in the McClure Funeral Service chapel. Service will be o>ciated by Pastor Johnathan Graves. There will be a graveside committal at Hawfields Cemetery in Mebane immediately following the service.
