John Dunkley Tuck

John Tuck, 92, passed away on April 22, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Mebane and served in the US Army Air Corp. He enjoyed reading his Bible and woodworking. Survivors include his sons; Danny Tuck (Lynn) of Mebane, Johnny Tuck of Burlington, a daughter; Joyce Cox (Wade) of Burlington, grandchildren; Kandy, Daniel and Michael, three great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, brothers; Carlton Tuck, Walter Tuck, and Jimmy Tuck, sisters; Frances McCauley, Mildred Teer, Thelma Tuck, Mary Alice Hicks and a special family friend, Carolyn Burton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Christine Robinson Tuck, parents; Percy and Belle Dunkley Tuck, brother; William Tuck and a granddaughter Tammy Dixon. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday April 26, 2017 at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Mebane. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1-2 at the church and at other times at the residence. Interment will follow in McCray Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell 914 Chapel Hill Rd. Burlington, NC 27215.
