Johnathan Wayne “Johnny Rod” Parrish, 50, of Swepsonville passed away Friday, December 11, 2020 after a short battle with cancer. He was a native of Alamance County & Owner/Operator of JRod’s Best Projects. He was a loving husband, father, pawpaw, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to all.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kimberly Lambert Parrish of the home; daughters, Lianne Tart and husband (Brett) of Wahiawa, HI, Jade Parrish and (Eric Long) of Roxboro, Ashley Ayer of Burlington; brother, Daniel Rodriguez and (Nina Lipscomb) of Graham; grandchildren, Ayden Long, Emaya Long, Kaliber McLaurin; niece, Anniston Massey; beloved companion, Maggie May; best friend Benny Hicks and many other lifelong friends and family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean “Julio” Rodriguez, and his grandparents, Rudolph Wilson and Juanita Ivey LaParade.
The family would like to give special thanks to Amy Davis of Swepsonville for all the love and support given to Johnny and Kim during their time of need.
A memorial service to celebrate Johnny Rod’s life will be 2:00 PM Sunday, December 20, 2020 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham. It is requested that those attending wear masks and practice social distancing. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.mcclurefuneralservice.net
