Johnny Warren Parker, passed away on December 9, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on March 6, 1962, to the late Joseph B. Parker Sr. and Carrie Molean Mann Parker, Johnny's life was one of dedication, joy, and spirited enthusiasm, which he shared generously with all who knew him. Johnny is survived by his daughter, Haley Parker of Nebraska. He is also survived by his sisters, Marticia Parker, Darlene Parker Hess (Rick), Sarah Parker Stephens (Fred), and Cindy R. Carpenter (Johnny). His memory will be cherished by his nephews, Roy W. Tesh (Kim), Joseph Scott Tesh, Britt Carpenter (Anna), and niece, Lycia S. Baskin (Otto), along with his great-nieces, Sadie L. Tesh and Kenna Carpenter, and great-nephews, Wesley Tesh, Jackson Tesh, Lincoln Tesh, and Anthony Baskin. Johnny was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph B. Parker Jr., and sister, Brinda E. Parker, with whom he is now reunited. Johnny dedicated his professional life to serving others as a retired Captain of the Chapel Hill Fire Department and an Assistant Fire Marshall. His commitment to public service was unwavering, and his contributions to the safety and well-being of his community were immeasurable. His colleagues in the fire department and beyond will remember him as a leader who led by example, always putting the needs of others before his own. An avid UNC Tarheel fan, Johnny's passion for his team was known to all. He could often be found cheering them on, wearing his favorite Tarheel blue. His love for fishing was equally well known, with many peaceful days spent at Jordan Lake, where he found solace and joy in the simplicity of nature. Johnny's adventurous spirit also took him traveling to see friends in Florida, where he enjoyed the sunshine and warm company. The family will receive friends on Thursday December 18, 2025 at McClure Funeral Service in Mebane from 1pm-1:45pm. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2pm in the McClure Funeral Chapel officiated by Pastor Sammy Ballard.
