Joseph Jenkins Fennell

Joseph Jenkins Fennell, age 76, and husband of Nancy Jobe Fennell, passed away on May 12, 2024 (Mother’s Day) at his home.

Born in Ridgeland, SC, he was the son of Joseph Edward Fennell and Mary Jenkins Fennell.  He was a U.S. Airforce veteran of the Vietnam War era.  Joe was a member of The Protestant and Episopal Church of Durham, NC.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughter, Teresa F. Mills (Rodney) of Clyde, NC; son, Jeff A. Jobe of Mebane; and daughter, Tracy J. Alcorn (Ron) of Liberty.  His grandson, Daniel Hardison of Tampa, FL; granddaughters, April H. Chapman, of Hurt, VA; Dorothy Mills, of Clyde, NC; Caleb Alcorn, of Liberty, NC and Kaylee Alcorn, of Liberty, NC; great grandsons, Spencer Arredondo and Tytus Chapman, of Hurt, VA. and a brother, Richard A. Fennell (Dottie), of Jefferson, NC.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Friday May 17, 2024 at Hebron Community Church, 2325 Mebane Oaks Road, Mebane, NC 27302.  The family will receive friends from 1pm-2pm on Friday at the church prior to the service.
