Joseph Henry "Joe" Boley

Joseph Henry “Joe” Boley 79 of 2110 Cooper Road, Graham, NC died 11:32pm Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at the Hospice Home of Burlington after an extended illness. He was born in Cocke County, Tennessee to the late Orval A. Boley and Annie Lee Henderson Boley. Joe was well known for his left handed pitch and played semi pro for one year, enjoyed coaching Little League baseball and basketball and was an avid golfer with the 50 Plus Group. He attended Bethel Baptist Church of Graham, served in the US Army and was retired from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill as a computer technician. Surviving is his wife Patsy Williams Boley of the home, daughter Tracy Boley of Graham, son Kelly Boley and wife Karen of Graham, 3 grandchildren Jordan Coley, Daniel Byrd and wife Sarah, Makayla Thomas and a brother Roger Boley and wife Cyndi of Graham and a special friend James Knighten. He proceeded in death by a sister Joyce Boley Hicks, brothers Clifton Boley and Charles Boley. The family will receive friends at the McClure Funeral and Cremation Service in Graham on Thursday October 8, 2015 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm other times at the residence. A Funeral Service will be held 2:00pm Friday October 9, 2015 in the McClure Chapel officiated by Pastor David Jackson, Pastor Doug Durham. Burial will follow in the Graham Memorial Park.
