Joseph Taylor Smith

Joseph Taylor Smith, 21 (May 28, 1997 – June 10, 2018)

Taylor is the son of Kyle Smith and Holly Murray; the brother of Wesley Russell, Brittany Martin, and Aaron Smith; the stepson of Heather Smith and Joe Murray; the step-brother of Elijah Timmons; the grandson of Johnny Russell, Jan Russell, Jvaughn Moore, Charlie Peele and Debra Wilder; and a beloved friend to all.

Taylor brought so much love and joy, not only to his family, but to the Saxapahaw community. He had such a giving and gracious heart. Taylor was filled with life and compassion towards everyone he met. He was selfless and helped anyone who was in need. Taylor had a smile that could light up a room and could warm the heart of others. He enjoyed volunteering and helping out with many organizations.

We're all blessed to have spent 21 years with him. We will always carry Taylor with us in our hearts and we are looking forward to the day when we are able to be with him again.

Services will be held at the Haw River Ballroom in Saxapahaw on Thursday June 14. Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. The Celebration of Taylor’s life will begin at 4:00 p.m. All are invited to remain after the service for a reception.
