Joseph "J.B." Thompson

Faith gave way to sight for Joseph “J.B.” Thompson on June 25, 2023.  His love for his Savior the Lord Jesus Christ- his family was evident in his life.  J.B. was the son of the late Joseph Lee and Sallie “Eula” Thompson.  He was a veteran of the US Air Force and loved to work on anything that had a motor. He retired from AO Smith. He is survived by his blended family, wife, Carol Thompson; daughters, Janet Thompson, Tammy Swierk (Jeremy), Donna Herry; sons, Steve Thompson (Kelly), Chuck Baker, Caleb Baker; like a son, Michael West; sister, Faye Mise; grandchildren, Kandice Barlotti (Maurzio), Korey Thompson (Rebecca), Beth Thompson, Jonathon Marchant (Laura), Jarrett Marchant; nine great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and nephews, Jay Mise and Robbie Mise.  Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Talmadge Thompson and a sister Geraldine Thompson.  The family will receive friends on Thursday June 29, 2023 from 5pm-7pm at McClure Funeral Service in Mebane.  A funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday June 30, 2023 in the McClure Funeral Chapel in Mebane.  Burial will follow in Chestnut Ridge UMC Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Mountain Top Youth Camp PO Box 130 Pleasant Garden, NC 27313.
