Josephine Waddell Alexander

Mrs. Josephine Moore Waddell Alexander, age 93, of Graham passed away peacefully at Springview Assisted Living – Brock Building on Friday, June 30, 2017. She was born to Dennis and Nellie Moore on Christmas Day in 1923. She was predeceased by her parents and all 11 siblings. She was married for 28 years to Ivey Nelson Waddell before his death in 1970. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Atchley Alexander. Also surviving are her children, Nelson Waddell (Faye) and Vivian Hewitt (Rodney) all of Graham; stepchildren Elaine Barrow (Wayne) of Graham and Duane Alexander (Debra) of Galax, VA. She is also survived by two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be private. The family is humbled by the love and quality of care “JoJo”, as she was so lovingly referred to by the staff at Springview, received from Sherry, Denise, Kye, Ashley, Melanie, Tracy, Keyonna and Kelly.
