On Wednesday June 28th 2023, Joshua Taylor Stainback, passed on to his Heavenly Home. He is survived by his parents Ken and Debra Stainback, sisters Kimberly (Tripp) Moore and Cameron (Brian) Michael, nieces Shae and Allie Moore. In addition to his family, memories of Josh will be cherished by many aunts, uncles, cousins and an immeasurable amount of friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Hubert and Dorothy Stainback, Earl and Louise Weaver.
As a little boy, his Grandfather Hubert instilled a love for hunting and fishing in Josh. Josh’s love for the outdoors developed over the years to encompass numerous activities. He delighted in hunting duck, turkey, deer, rabbit and bear. Also, he was an avid fresh and saltwater fisherman and horticulturist.
Known by most as Fatback, his charismatic personality and infectious smile brought happiness to everyone he encountered. Each person he met was never a stranger, just simply an immediate friend. Josh was the Project Superintendent at Dodson and Company Construction, where he took great pride in his responsibilities.
Shae and Allie meant the absolute world to Josh. Whether they were fishing together, racking up tokens at the arcade or playing outdoors, each minute was cherished.
The biggest impact Josh left on the world is a Legacy of Happiness. He lived without abandon or prejudice, owning the man that he chose to be and the life he lived. When you saw Josh’s smile, you knew you were in for a good time!
