Joy Amelia Roach Jeffers

Mrs. Joy Roach Jeffers, 57, of Graham passed away on Thursday November 9, 2017 at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill. A native of Person Co. NC, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Ada Dishmond Roach. She was a Bus Driver with the Caswell County School, system and was known to her students as “Momma Joy”. If you ever saw Joy, she always had a smile on her face and she always had her home open for friends and family. She always put others above herself. She enjoyed crafts to give to people just so she could put a smile on someone’s face. She was a member of Holy Temple of God Ministries in Danville, VA. Survivors include her husband, Wesley Jeffers; sons, Earl Robert “Robbie” Forbes and Haggai Stewart “J.R.” Jr.; grandson, Cassius Levi Stewart; sister, Terry Jo Pergerson and Holly Gwen Ashley and husband Mark; brother, Ricky Roach and wife Delores; best friend, Josephine Chambers and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her late husband, Haggai Stewart Sr. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday November 13, 2017 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Pastor Sherrill Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the Funeral Home and other times at the residence of the family.
