Joyce Ahlgren Komanetsky

Joyce Ahlgren Komanetsky, 91, of Burlington, NC died Friday, May 23, 2025. She was the wife of Harry Komanetsky (deceased). Born in New Britain, Connecticut, she was the daughter of Herbert and Dorothy Ahlgren. She lived in Forestville, CT for 35 years before moving to North Carolina in 1989.

Surviving are her daughters, Kim (Bruce) Jones of Gibsonville, and Susan (Bret) Parker of Burlington, NC; her grandchildren, Amanda Bonaker of Burlington, NC, Lindsey Graham of Eastover, NC, Ryan St. Pierre of Mebane, NC, Dana St. Pierre of Chapel Hill, NC, Joshua Septor of Burlington, NC, Elizabeth Franzese of Burlington, NC, Jon Septor of Snow Camp, and Mason Parker of Burlington, NC; her great grandchildren, Alex and Tyler Bonaker of Burlington, NC, Kristina Graham of Eastover, NC, Abigail Citty, Logan, Savannah, and Ryan St. Pierre, Barrett Septor of Snow Camp, and Aria Franzese of Burlington, NC; and her sister, Jane Dixey of Bristol, CT. She was preceded in death by a son, Mark Komanetsky, and daughter, Jill Komanetsky Washburn.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, beginning at 1:30pm at Graham Presbyterian Church, 216 West Harden Street, Graham, NC 27253.
