Juanita Cobb King

November 6, 1933 — October 20, 2016

Mrs. Juanita Cobb King, 82, of Burlington, NC passed away on Thursday October 20, 2016 surrounded by the comfort of her loving family. A native of Alamance County, NC she was the daughter of the late James Thomas and Essie Ruth Malloy Cobb. She was retired from Burlington Industries with numerous years of service. She was proud of her time playing basketball at Pleasant Grove School where she was even a member of the All-County Team. She was a longtime member of Union Ridge Church and was known for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. Her grandchildren were her children she never had as they always brought her joy and love to every moment of her life. Survivors include her granddaughter, Melissa Logan and husband Dennis and grandson, Evan King and wife Candice, both of Burlington; great grandchildren, Brie and Emmy King; sisters, Glenda Walker and husband Howard and Phyllis Dodson and husband Ronald, both of Burlington; and a special friend, Jackie Florence, of Burlington. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joe King; son, Randy King, sisters, Geneva Madden Shambly and Gladys Stewart and a brother, James T. Cobb. A funeral service will be held at Union Ridge Church at 2:00 PM on Sunday October 23, 2016 with the Pastor Dan Ficklin and James Rosser Officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 PM on Saturday October 22, 2016 at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham and others times at the residence of her granddaughter Melissa at 1088 Hutchins Rd. Burlington, NC. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Alamance/Caswell at 918 Chapel Hill Rd. Burlington, NC 27215. The family of Mrs. King would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers with the Hospice of Alamance/Caswell for their love and wonderful support during this difficult time.
