Julia Elizabeth Holt Fisher, 76, of Burlington, a cherished soul whose life was a testament to love, faith, and creativity, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, in her native Alamance County, North Carolina. Born on January 26, 1950, to the late A.J. Holt and Hilda McVey Holt, Julia's journey was one of joy, devotion, and artistic expression. Julia's heart found its match in Eddie Dean Fisher, and their love story was one for the ages. After a whirlwind courtship, Eddie proposed just a week into their dating, and they went on to share 44 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, support, and unwavering partnership. Julia was a beacon of light and love to her family, including her sons, Chad Collins and his wife Pamela, and Lucas Fisher with his wife Kaleigh. Her role as a grandmother was one she cherished deeply, showering Logan, Nora, Landon, Flynn, Stella, and Tifa with affection and wisdom. Julia's siblings, Lea Holt and Craig Holt with his wife Teresa, knew her as a loving sister whose kindness extended to her nieces and nephews, leaving a legacy of familial warmth and unity. Her loving daughter, Melissa Dawn Clark, preceded her in death, and the bond they shared continues to be a source of inspiration for all who knew Julia. A woman of deep Christian faith, Julia was an active and devoted member of The River Church in Burlington. Her love for the Lord was evident in her commitment to her church family, where she joyfully participated in singing, dancing, and flag ministry. Her spirituality was a guiding force in her life, and it brought comfort and strength to those around her. Julia's artistic talents were a gift she generously shared with the world. As an accomplished artist, her works were not only a reflection of her inner beauty but also a source of joy for those who had the privilege of experiencing them. Her creativity was a true reflection of her vibrant spirit. Beyond her artistic and spiritual endeavors, Julia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her love for Eddie was a constant, and their shared happiness found its zenith at the beach, which served as their sanctuary and happy place. The memories created by the ocean's edge will forever be cherished by Eddie and all who were part of their journey.
